It could be that the UK's copyright laws are different to the rest of the world. For me to try and register in the US store it requires me to have a credit/debit card set-up at an American billing address, which I'm also looking in to now. I live in Romania and I can use any store I want. US is the main one since it's the biggest so I use it most but I remember downloading some local apps as well as a dutch one, can't remember what it was tho. It worked perfectly fine for me. I've lost 10 pounds already and am on pace to hit 165 by the beginning of May! It seems so simple, but that's the key...no stupid diets, you simply have a daily nutrition log at your fingertips so it makes it super easy to monitor what you're eating. I love it and would recommend it to anyone as well. It simply allows you to tell your body when you have eaten enough, instead of the other way around. Unfortunately, however, when you get to the 'Sign In' window and enter your details it informs you politely you shouldn't be in the US store and forcefully escorts you back to the UK iTunes store where the App is not available.
