The Sausage Stylus?

When I saw this posted on PhoneDog, I thought someone must be creating a huge practical joke on the blogosophere. Oh, but not so! Pop Sci also picked up the “meat stylus” story. You read that right — On blustery, cold days, iPhone users in South Korea have figured out how to use their touchscreens despite their gloved fingers: They’ve taken to using “encased pork products.” Gives the phrase “sausage fingers” a whole new context, no?

Does this have anyone else wondering, “Why didn’t I think of that?” (Or does it just have you going, “Eeew?”) Either way, I guess these innovative users get to have their stylus and, um, eat it, too.

Those looking for a less creative solution might prefer the Pogo Stylus from Ten One. It’s inexpensive, at just 15 bucks, has a snap-on holster, and its electrostatic tip actually does work on the iPhone’s capacitive screen. The downside? Well, the spongy point does tend to lose its shape over time, but at least this stylus won’t spoil without refrigeration. Check it out here.

Hello Hey this is quite funny news about sausage or I can say stylus.I could not believe that people can use sausage instead of Stylus. You are right that its inexpensive.

"...electrostatic tip actually does work ...spongy point does tend to lose its shape over time" Are we still talking about a stylus? This is seriously not a practical joke? :)

Amy, :-) Seriously, I thought it was a joke, too, but no, its really not! I have only hot dogs in my fridge, not sure if they'll work or not...
