iPhone going to The Shack
Word has it that Radio Shack is now distributing iPhones to retail locations across the country. Until recently, the company couldn’t procure the handset beyond a few stores in New York City and Dallas, which offered the smartphone on a trial basis in November 2009. Looks like the retailer is aiming to have the shops all stocked up by the end of March.
Interesting that Apple is choosing to open up availability on the current model. Does it mean that something new is on the way? This is precisely what the industry is expecting, although there’s no indication yet on whether future iPhone versions will be available through The Shack.
