So I was checking around the web, looking into messageboards and forums, to see what others were saying about the iPad. And even though I like this device, and plan to buy one, I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw this pic, and one commenter’s reaction to it:

Can you come up with a clever caption for the image above?

This mini contest could alternately be named, “Make Adriana Laugh,” since it’s a completely unofficial competition and totally at the mercy of my whim. Is it fair? Maybe not. But when you have stuff to give away, you can call the shots then too ;-). However, I do promise that there will be official giveaways in the future with actual guidelines and objective rules and stuff. But for now, here’s the deal:

• You can comment here (below) if you like, but I’ll be looking for entries posted on the messageboard first. Click this link to go there.
• If your caption and someone else’s are a tie, you can tip the scales in your favor if you refer friends to this little contest. (All they have to do is mention your name.)
• Keep it clean and classy. (Okay, maybe not too classy. We’re going for humor, after all.) But no profanity or overtly gross words/phrases. Given the name of this product, it’s not hard to see where this could go, so don’t post anything you wouldn’t want your Grandma to see.

On Monday, at 12:30 PM EST, I’ll go through the messageboard posts first, then the comments below, and pick the one caption that makes me snort chuckle, shooting diet soda through my nose.
